The state of DC Studios is finally settling, but fans still aren’t sure on what will come out and when. We do know that James Gunn’s Peacemaker series is safe and will return, but not as soon as most fans want. In a recent tweet from Gunn, the filmmaker & co-chair of DC Studios addressed a comment asking if Season 2 of Peacemaker was cancelled.
In response to a Valentine’s Day post from Gunn, a fan asked: “Was Season 2 was cancelled right???”
“Heck no, just postponed while I work on [Superman] Legacy,” Gunn tweeted. Adding, “Waller first. PM after.”
For those unaware, Superman: Legacy will be written by James Gunn, with rumors of the filmmaker helming the project. Then Gunn will board the Amanda Waller series, titled Waller, which will star Viola Davis. These projects are part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU plan, which will see various newly rebooted DC movies and series. It won’t be a complete reboot however as Gunn is keeping some characters he worked on in the previous DC films, giving the new DCU a bit of the old and new.
