Such was the excitement at seeing Jamie Lee Curtis return to her iconic role as Laurie Strode in David Gordon Green’s Halloween reboot that the film grossed $255 million at the global box-office, firmly resurrecting the character of Michael Myers.
Therefore it should come as little surprise that the gang are getting back together for another stabby seasonal sequel, which should go in front of the cameras this fall.
According to Collider, the Halloween sequel will reunite Jamie Lee Curtis with on-screen daughter and grand-daughter pairing of Judy Greer and Andi Matichak.
The report speculates that the film will occupy the October 16th 2020 release date, which is currently taken by an untitled Blumhouse film, who are of course the studio who worked their usual magic, turning last years $10 million budgeted effort into a critical and commercial smash.

There’s no confirmation that David Gordon Green, who wrote the sequel script, would return to Haddonfield, but it’s strongly hinted that he would, alongside producers Bill Block and Danny McBride.
