Jasmin Savoy Brown is a crucial part of the new core four in the modern Scream films, and she wants to see her character Mindy have a bigger role going forward.
Mindy survived Scream VI and cemented her future in the franchise, making it further than her uncle Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) did in his run. Jasmin Savoy Brown believes the surviving former-Woodsboro resident could lead the group through more Ghostface mayhem.
Brown says, “I think it would be interesting if we’re a couple years into the future and she’s more confident. I feel like a theme of six for Mindy was she was right about so much, but she kept undercutting herself and gaslighting and doubting herself. I would like to see her own she knows what she knows, and if she has an inkling about someone that she’s like, ‘We don’t talk to them,’ and to see her step more into that leadership aspect of herself, and to see who she is just a couple years from now would be really interesting to me.”
There’s no official confirmation for Scream 7 at the time of writing. Jasmin Savoy Brown is currently starring in Yellowjackets Season 2 on Showtime and Paramount+ and is also promoting Scream VI’s digital and home release, available now. Check out her full interview with Screen Rant below…
