Actor Jason Clarke is the next actor being lined up to join the ranks of First Man, the upcoming Neil Armstrong biopic directed by Damien Chazelle.
Chazelle is one of the hottest directing talents in Hollywood right now, coming off the success of both Whiplash and La La Land.
Ryan Gosling will be rejoining his La La Land director in the new biopic, starring as the astronaut Neil Armstrong — the first man to land on the moon.
We have recently found out that both Kyle Chandler and Corey Stoll will be joining the picture, and now news is breaking that Jason Clarke is also in talks to play Ed White, the first American to walk in space.
Based on the book by James R. Hansen, Last Man’s screenplay will be written by Spotlight’s Josh Singer.
The movie will be a first-person account of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, taking place between 1961-1969.
First Man is set for release on October 12, 2018.
