1994’s The Crow needs no introduction. A film meant to launch martial artist Brandon (son-of-Bruce) Lee into the spotlight, but only served to cut his life tragically short due to behind-the-scenes negligence. That’s all well documented elsewhere, however. Following that fiasco, a few direct-to-video sequels were released to lackluster reviews. Which is a shame, as the original is quite good, and Hollywood knows that there is a strong franchise to be had from the property (which is, itself, adapted from a graphic novel).
For a while now, we have heard all sorts of talk about a reboot of The Crow, with various names attached including Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, James McAvoy, Tom Hiddleston, and most recently Justice League’s Jason Momoa. The film has been in complete development hell since talks began almost ten years ago. However, we recently got word that pre-production for the film has taken a big step forward in the form of a 2018 start date, and the announcement of director Corin Hardy (The Nun) to helm the film. Today, we have even more exciting news, as Jason Momoa has teased via Instagram that things may finally be moving forward on The Crow Reborn:

We here you Jason. We’ve been waiting sooooo long too. How much longer? No idea, but we are likely to hear more news regarding the project from here on out. We are all looking forward, once again, to every man showing up to the same costume parties dressed as The Crow.
