When Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) pulled out of Masters of the Universe back in October of 2013, it looked like the big screen He-Man reboot was going to be one of those projects forever consigned to development hell.
However, Columbia subsequently announced that Kick-Ass 2 helmer Jeff Wadlow would pick up the reins, and now Devon Franklin, senior VP of Development at the studio, has revealed via Twitter that Wadlow has completed a rewrite of the script, which as you can see from the cover below has already passed through the hands of Alex Litvak & Mik Finch, Richard Wenk and Terry Rossio…
Wadlow is only attached to Masters of the Universe in a writing capacity but is hoping to direct, so perhaps if his script impresses he’ll get the job and the project will finally start moving forward…
