Jennifer Garner is again picking up the Elektra’s twin sai for Deadpool 3. as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the story that Garner will be reprising the role of Elektra Natchios, which she played in 2003’s Daredevil, and her own solo outing Elektra in 2005.
Little is known about the sequel beyond an apparent multiverse angle, currently all the rage in Hollywood. There are no further details about how Garner’s Elektra will be involved in the film’s story, or how large of a part she will be playing.
The plans for Deadpool 3 seem to be an homage to 20th Century Fox’s Marvel era; think Spider-Man: No Way Home for the original X-Men cast and more. At the time of writing, no other Fox Marvel outside of the Deadpool franchise have been confirmed outside of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and now Garner’s Elektra.
The film is set to star Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool veterans Stefan Kapacic (Colossus), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), and Rob Delaney (Peter) as well as Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and new additions Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin in as yet unspecified roles.

Free Guy helmer Shawn Levy directs Deadpool 3, which will mark Marvel Studios’ first R-rated release. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but expect to see Deadpool and Wolverine on some kind of multiverse-spanning fourth wall-breaking adventure that serves as a farewell to Fox’s Marvel universe and merging into the MCU.
Deadpool 3 arrives in cinemas on May 4th, 2024.
