Deadline has revealed Once Upon A Time’s Jennifer Morrison will be joining NBC’s hit series This is Us for a recurring role in the series’ fourth season. Details surrounding her character are being kept under wraps.
Morrison’s casting comes just over a month after NBC renewed the series for three more additional seasons. The show has proven to be a huge critical and ratings success for the network, averaging about 14 million viewers per episode. It ended its third season as the number one drama in the 18 – 49 ages demographic for a third year in a row.
“In a television landscape with nearly 500 original scripted series, there are very few, if any, that have the critical and cultural impact of This Is Us, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring fans three more seasons of a show that so well represents the NBC brand,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, Presidents of Scripted Programming, NBC Entertainment at the time of the mega-renewal. “A huge thank you and congratulations to our executive producers, cast and crew who reach new heights every week with the show’s inventive and compelling storytelling.”
Created by Dan Fogelman, This Is Us features an ensemble cast that includes Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Jon Huertas, Niles Fitch, Logan Shroyer, Hannah Zeile, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Parker Bates, Lonnie Chavis, Eris Baker, and Faithe Herman.
