We can now officially add another couple of names to the cast of Warner Bros.’ next DC team-up movie, with the studio confirming that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor and Connie Nielsen’s Queen Hippolyta are set to appear in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Jesse Eisenberg – who previously revealed back in June that he would be returning as the criminal mastermind – made his DCEU debut earlier this year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and his character was last seen in Blackgate Prison, teasing that “he” (presumably Steppenwolf, the main villain of Justice League) is coming to Earth. Nielsen meanwhile will make her first appearance in July’s Wonder Woman movie, where she plays the mother of Gal Gadot’s Diana.

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
