SEGA has announced that Beat, the main protagonist from the hugely popular Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio, will be coming to Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as a fully playable character when the game releases on PC and consoles on 5th October. Want to see more of this classic character then watch the trailer below.
The Dreamcast classic from the year 2000 introduced players to Beat and the rebel street gang of graffiti artists known as the anti-establishment GG’s. Their aim was to fight for free expression in the world of Jet Set Radio and Beat brings the same trademark flair, carefree attitude and inline skating prowess to the world of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.
Sporting his trademark green goggles and oversized headphones, Beat will join the monkey gang using the same magnetic boots and roll, tilt and bounce his way through the Super Monkey Ball world. Unlike the monkey gang who will be collecting bananas, Beat will be collecting spray paint cans.
Beat is the first guest character to be announced for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania and there will be several more iconic characters joining the game over time. Look out for this news in a future announcement.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania arrives on PC and consoles on 5th October.
