Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the first teaser for Jodie Comer’s environmental disaster drama The End We Start From has made its way online.
Directed by BAFTA winner Mahalia Belo (The Long Song), The End We Start From is described as a feminist survival story story set amid an environmental crisis that sees London submerged by flood waters, and focuses on a young family torn apart in the chaos. Based on the novel by Megan Hunter and adapted to screen by Succession writer Alice Birch, the film has a supporting cast which includes Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Marc Strong (The Kingsman: The Secret Service), Katherine Waterston (The World To Come), Joel Fry (Cruella), Gina McKee (My Policeman) and Nina Sosanya (His Dark Materials).
