Having been tempted out of retirement by good pal Martin Scorsese for The Irishman, Oscar-winner Joe Pesci has now signed on to star alongside Pete Davidson and Edie Falco in the upcoming Peacock comedy series Bupkis.
The half-hour action comedy series is described as a heightened, fictionalised version of Davidson’s life, combining grounded storytelling with absurd elements. Pesci will portray Davidson’s grandfather in the show, his first series role since 1985’s short-lived detective comedy-drama Half Nelson, while Falco is playing Davidson’s mother.
Judah Miller (The King of Staten Island) is serving as showrunner on Bupkis, while Davidson and Lorne Michaels (SNL) executive produce.
