Joe Russo, co-director of Avengers: Endgame, thinks that Stan Lee’s final cameo is in his film and not Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The late Stan Lee is an icon because of his work with Marvel comics but he has also become particularly well known for his often humorous cameos in various Marvel movies. With Lee’s passing, however, these cameos won’t exist in perpetuity, with only a small number being filmed before his death.
When will his last cameo be seen? Well, Joe Russo believes that Lee’s final cameo will be in his film Avengers: Endgame, rather than the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home. Spekaing in India (via PinkVilla), the director said:
“I believe that his final cameo is in Endgame. I don’t remember if he was well enough to do the cameo in Spider-Man [Far From Home].” But it was incredible to work with him. I grew up on his comic books. Stan Lee was an idol of mine as a kid. To be able to have the opportunity to not only to work under the material he created but to work with him is a childhood dream come true.”
Wherever Lee’s final cameo takes place, it will certainly be a bittersweet moment for fans who, while looking forward to seeing the legend on screen again, will be sad at the ending of an era.
