Having returned to the Halloween franchise to executive produce and score the new movie from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions, legendary filmmaker John Carpenter has now suggesting that he could revisit another of his films, albeit on the small screen.
Speaking to Consequence of Sound, Carpenter revealed that he’s been in talks with horror streaming service Shudder, stating that: “We’re talking to them about doing a theme. And maybe doing a show for them. What would you think about Prince of Darkness as a TV show?”
Pressed for more info, Carpenter chose to remain tight-lipped, adding: “Well, maybe. Maybe not. I don’t know…I’m not going to tell you. I’m not going to tell you.”
Released back in 1987, Prince of Darkness is a supernatural thriller which revolves around a priest who invites a group of scientists and students into the basement of an abandoned Los Angeles church, where he has discovered a mysterious canister containing a swirling liquid described as the corporeal embodiment of Satan.
