John Carpenter has confirmed that in addition to producing, he will be crafting the scores for the upcoming sequels Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Carpenter stated his involvement in the two back-to-back sequels when discussing last year’s franchise relaunch.
“I loved it, It was a lot of fun,” said Carpenter. “And I’ll do the score, do a new score. That’s always fun. I’m on board. Let’s go.”
Carpenter, who produced and composed the 2018 sequel/reboot, will be joined by returning director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride. Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will also be producing both sequels, while Halloween Kills will star the returning Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie), Judy Greer (Karen, Laurie’s daughter), Andi Matichak (Allyson, Laurie’s granddaughter), and both Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
Halloween Kills is set for release on October 16th 2020, followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th 2021.
