John Krasinski, the writer and director of A Quiet Place: Part II, says he might actually like the sequel better than the first film.
A Quiet Place was a big surprise hit in 2018 and writer, director, and star John Krasinski didn’t immediately seem eager to make a sequel – even though demand was high.
Krasinksi changed his mind, of course, and is back behind the camera for a follow-up movie and it turns out, he likes the sequel even more than his original film. Speaking to THR, he said:
“I said I would never do a second one. Nothing could be as personal or be as organic to me as the first one, and turns out, I think I like this one better.
“The only reason why I would ever write [Part II] is I could figure out a way to make this movie worthy of all the love and respect the fans of the first one. This really is a thank you note to them.”
