All is quiet in terms of the plot, but Sarnoski is reportedly working from a story pitched by Krasinski, one that will open up the post-apocalyptic world introduced in the first two hit movies, with the intention of turning it into a lucrative cinematic universe for Paramount.
Starring alongside Lupita Nyong’o in A Quiet Place: Day One is Hereditary‘s Alex Wolff and Stranger Things fan-favourite Jospeh Quinn.
A Quiet Place was a huge critical and commercial success when it opened in 2018, earning $340M at the global box-office. Its sequel, A Quiet Place Part II was one of the first films to be delayed by the pandemic, but despite multiple setbacks, it was eventually released in cinemas, albeit at a time when audiences were still reluctant to return to the multiplex. However it still made an impressive $300M worldwide, which is testament to the world that Krasinski has created.
