Jon Voight joins cast of Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

Academy Award winner Jon Voight (Midnight Cowboy) has joined the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the anticipated Harry Potter spin-off from author J.K. Rowling.

In addition to Voight, the cast has swelled further with the news that Carmen Ejogo (Selma) and Gemma Chan (Humans) have also joined the film, currently shooting in England,

The film is a spin-off from the world of Harry Potter, set 70 years before the titular hero reads Newt Scamander’s Book at Hogwarts.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is set for release on November 11th, 2016 and sees Oscar Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) stars as Scamander alongside Colin Farrell (The Lobster), Katherine Waterstone (Queen of Earth), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Dan Fogler (Barely Lethal) and Samantha Morton (Control). David Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter films, returns to direct.
