According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Brolin is set to executive produce and star in the TV drama series Outer Range, which is being produced for Amazon by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
The series will see the Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Endgame star portraying Royal Abbot, described as “a Wyoming rancher fighting for his land and family who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness.”
Amazon has granted a series order to Outer Range, which has been created by playwright Brian Watkins (Epiphany), who is writing and executive producing with Zev Borow (Love Is Dead).
Outer Range marks Brolin’s biggest TV commitment since the ABC Western drama The Young Riders, which ran between 1989 and 1992. The actor has recently wrapped production on Flag Day alongside Sean Penn and Miles Teller, and will next be seen on the big screen in Denis Villenueve’s star-studded science fiction epic Dune.
