Since its release, fans have been clamouring for a sequel to Dredd, the live-action adaptation of 2000AD’s classic character starring Karl Urban. There has been a lot of back and forth, but the poor box office return has hindered Dredd’s return to the big screen. However new dropped yesterday seemingly out of nowhere that we’re going to get a brand new live-action TV series based on the character titled Judge Dredd: Mega-City One. No casting details yet, but you can check out the poster for it here.
Hot off the heels of the surprise hit Deadpool last year, Marvel and FXX have announced a new animated series for the Merc with a Mouth featuring Donald Glover. The show will debut sometime in 2018. Read more here.
There’s an awfully common trend among blockbuster movies where the tracklisting for the soundtrack is released prior to the film’s debut and often spoils plot elements. ALIEN: COVENANT 2/PROMETHEUS 3
Alien: Covenant has received mixed reviews so far [read ours here], with those who enjoyed Prometheus getting behind Ridley Scott’s latest outing, but those wanting a new Alien movie feeling let down. Whether fans enjoyed it or not, Scott has announced that he will go into production on Alien: Covenant 2/Prometheus 3 in around 14 months. Read more here.
Following on from the news that Hellboy would be getting a fresh new adaptation from Neil Marshall with David Harbour (Stranger Things) taking on the titular role, original Hellboy screen writer Peter Briggs has taken to Facebook to detail a cancelled spin-off focused on Abe Sapien.
