It looks like we could be set for a return to Downton Abbey, and on the big screen no less, as creator Julian Fellowes has revealed that he’s working on a feature film script.
“I’ve done some work on it because I don’t want want to be caught out if [the producers] suddenly say yes and then it’s all go,” Fellowes told The Evening Standard, although he went on to caution that it is far from a done deal. “Can we round up all the cast? Can we get them? Also we just need the green light at the beginning. So I don’t know anymore than that at the moment to be honest.”
Downton Abbey premiered on ITV in 2010 and was a huge success both here in the UK and in the States, where it aired on PBS. It ran for six seasons before coming to an end in 2015.
