With filming now officially underway on Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, the first batch of set photos have arrived online from Atlanta, Georgia and feature newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan in full costume as… Captain Marvel!
Yes, it seems that Kamala is taking inspiration from her hero Carol Danvers and has decked herself out in a Captain Marvel fancy dress costume! Could this be before she acquires her powers? Or perhaps an early prototype costume as she begins her crime-fighting career? See for yourself via Twitter here…

As per Murphy’s Multiverse, the actor in the set photos is Matt Lintz (The Walking Dead), who is taking on the role of Bruno Carrelli, Kamala’s friend and the only person to be aware of her crimefighting activities as Ms. Marvel.
Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral) is writing as serving as showrunner on Ms. Marvel, while directors for the series include Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life), Meera Menon (The Punisher) and Oscar-winning documentarian Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel is one of several live-action Marvel shows heading to Disney+, and is expected to follow next year’s WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki in 2022 alongside Hawkeye, She-Hulk and Moon Knight.
