With production underway on The Dark Tower, the long-awaited adaptation of Stephen King’s epic fantasy series has added two new names to its cast, with Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) and Michael Barbieri (Little Men) joining the movie.
Winnick’s role is being kept under wraps, but Deadline is reporting that 14-year-old Barbieri is to play Timmy, “an offbeat pal to the Jake Chambers character.”
Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair) is directing The Dark Tower, which is set to star Idris Elba (Luther) as Roland the Gunslinger, Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar) as the Man in Black, Tom Taylor (Doctor Foster) as Jake Chambers, Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Tirana, Fran Kranz (The Cabin in the Woods) as Pimli and Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) as Richard Sayre.
