The list of stars in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel continues to grow for the fourth day in a row as Deadline reports that WandaVision‘s Kathryn Hahn is the latest to join the ensemble film.
Hahn will join Daniel Craig, who will reprise his role from the first film as Southern detective and “gentleman sleuth” Benoit Blanc. Alongside them will be Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Edward Norton (Motherless Brooklyn) and Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures).
Plot details and characters are being kept under wraps at the moment so there is no information on who Hahn or the other cast members could be playing. The only thing official is the Thrombey family, who was at the center of the mystery in Knives Out, will not be returning at all for Blanc’s next whodunit.
Hahn most recently starred in Marvel’s Disney+ series WandaVision, playing Wanda Maximoff’s nosey but mysterious neighbour Agatha Harkness. She was also recently in HBO’s miniseries I Know This Much Is True and will be seen next on Apple TV+’s The Shrink Next Door.
Netflix recently won the rights for two sequels to 2019’s Knives Out, which received an Oscar nomination and scored over $300 million on a $40 million budget. The original film featured an all-star cast that included Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Ana de Armas and the late Christopher Plummer.
Production on Knives Out 2 will begin this summer in Greece.
