Keke Palmer just took home Entertainer of the Year at the NAACP Image Awards and will continue her hot streak with the upcoming The ‘Burbs.
The TV remake of the 1989 film sees Palmer in the lead with six recurring guest stars being added to its cast.
Per Variety, Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), Justin Kirk (Weeds), Kyrie McAlpin (Will Trent), Danielle Kennedy (Narcos) and Randy Oglesby (For All Mankind) have been added to the series.
Alongside Palmer, the new additions will join previously announced Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch and Kapil Talwalkar.
Celeste Hughey wrote The ‘Burbs and serves as executive producer alongside Palmer and Rachel Shuker. Dana Olsen, who wrote the original film, is co-executive producer.
Per the official logline, the series is set in the present day and “follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.
