Kelly Marie Tran, one of the stars of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, has teased the new role her character plays in the Resistance.
With so much going on in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it’s important not to forget the key roles of characters like Rose Tico, played by Kelly Marie Tran. The actress will be reprising the role for the film but Rose will have a different part to play in the dramatic events ahead.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Tran said: “Before, Rose was a new character who was in maintenance and she was not a huge part of the resistance. But now she’s in the Resistance in a big way and it’s very cool.
“I had to learn everything that had to do with being in a war, like holding a gun. I’ve never held a gun before. Things like that, that you don’t even think about when you’re watching this movie. We’re all real people living real lives.”
