More drama down on the Dutton ranch with the news that despite Kevin Costner riding off into the sunset, seemingly with the show’s future strapped to his saddle, negotiations are underway for a sixth season of Yellowstone.
According to Deadline the story of Yellowstone will continue beyond season 5B and be headlined by series regulars Kelly Reilly (Eden Lake) and Cole Hauser (Good Will Hunting).
Originally intended as the final run of episodes, with Reilly and Hauser reportedly in talks for their own spin-off series, the long-delayed return of Yellowstone is no longer marketing the November 10th return as a finale (watch the trailer below), and the duo are now in negotiations to carry Taylor Sheridan’s flagship series going forward.
Reilly plays Beth Dutton, daughter of Costner’s John Dutton, while Hauser is veteran ranch foreman Rip Wheeler, who was taken under the wing by John Dutton as a young boy after killing his stepfather to protect his mother.
