Kevin Feige says Marvel already knows who will be on the next Avengers team

July 23, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, says that they already know who will be a part of the next Avengers team.

There has been plenty of news breaking in recent days about the future of the MCU, mostly about Phase Four and all the different films we can look forward to seeing. While there has been no news about a new Avengers film, this doesn’t mean Marvel doesn’t have a plan.

Kevin Feige said the following to MTV News when asked if they already know who will be in the first Avengers team in a post-Endgame world: “Yes. And it will be a very different team than we’ve seen before. That’s what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t met yet.”

Feige also went on to explain why there’s no new Avengers movie in Phase Four, stating: “We had a movie this year called Avengers: Endgame, and it is very much an ending, as you saw, to so many of those characters. So Phase Four is about beginnings, and Phase Four is about learning new things about characters you already think you know. Black Widow, meeting incredible new characters like The Eternals and Shang-Chi, going on new adventures with Doctor Strange and Thor, and these Disney+ shows which I promise will be spectacular and what no one is expecting.”

The future of the MCU already feels quite different so it makes sense that the Avengers roster will reflect these changes. It might be a while before we see another team-up on the big screen but hopefully, it will be worth the wait.
