Variety is reporting that Kevin Hart is in talks with Disney to play Santa Claus in the upcoming family comedy Dashing Through the Snow.
The project, which is based on a story by Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji) with a script from Rob Burnett (The Fundamentals of Caring), follows “a New York City detective who has a strained relationship with his son. The only thing that may be able to repair the father-son relationship is the one true Santa Claus who has to make the man believe in Christmas magic.”
Hart can be seen in U.S. theaters in the stand-up special Kevin Hart: What Now? [read our review here] and is currently shooting Jumanji alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan.
