Yesterday we brought you some comments from Kevin Smith as he revealed that Harvey and Bob Weinstein had opted against stumping up the $6 million budget for Clerks III. However, if you were worried that you might have seen the last of Dante (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson), then worry no more, as Smith has confirmed via Twitter that the threequel will still be made….
Via @Kitties4every1 “Will Clerks 3 still be made?” Heavens yes, just not with the Weinsteins’ money. And all involved are okay with this.

Clerks III was originally supposed to go into production this May, but Smith decided to delay it in order to focus on Anti-Claus, an anthology horror based around the Krampus. Alongside O’Halloran and Anderson, Rosario Dawson is confirmed as reprising the role of Becky from Clerks II, while Smith and Jason Mewes will presumably return for another outing as Jay and Silent Bob.
