Kevin Spacey is lining up a couple of new projects, with Deadline reporting that the actor is set to join Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver and James Cox’s Billionaire Boys Club, both of which will see him appearing alongside Ansel Elgort.
Baby Driver, Wright’s first film since The World’s End, follows “a crime boss who coerces a young, talented getaway driver (Elgort) to work for him. The kid relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best but must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom. Spacey would play the boss of the crew, a veteran criminal who has worked his way up the ladder to bigger and bigger scores with a stable of go-to professionals.”
Billionaire Boys Club sees Elgort starring alongside Taron Egerton and tells “the true-life tale of Joe Hunt, who built an investment pool that made him the center of attention in L.A. in the 1980s. It also was built on fraud and schemes, and Hunt ended up murdering a Beverly Hills high-roller whose investment didn’t pan out.” Spacey will play Ron Levin, “the guy who represents the smart money and the fast lifestyle.”
