Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game gets a trailer and screenshots

November 1, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Good Shepherd Entertainment and Teravision Games have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming 3v7 asymmetrical online multiplayer horror, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game.  This new trailer showcases how the game captures the scenery, characters, weapons and atmosphere of the classic 1988 film.

The new trailer shows locations familiar to fans of the film, such as the circus tent and the amusement park with side-by-side comparisons with the movie.  This shows just how much detail has been paid in faithfully recreating these environments.

The film, directed by The Chiodo Brothers, sees murderous alien Klowns arrive at the quiet town of Crescent Cove to feed on the locals, while the locals fight back once the threat becomes apparent.  In the game, players will be able to team up with two other players as Klowns or six other players as the humans and explore and fight over an expansive and  ever-changing map.  Players will be able to choose from a variety of character classes and encounter a number of different surprises that capture the campy horror experience of the film.

Featuring:

  • Fight as one of the three Klowns and defeat the humans with comical alien weaponry.
  • Alternatively, fight back against the invasion as one of seven brave citizens.  Choose character class, explore to find weapons and loot, and survive.
  • Players will battle in 3v7 asymmetrical action across a sprawling, randomly generated map that features locations from the film.
  • A new and unique approach to hide-and-seek gameplay with dynamic objectives and other systems for multiple outcomes of each battle.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game will bring the nightmarish campy humour of the 1988 MGM movie to Xbox One and Series X/S, The Playstation 4 & 5 and PC in early 2023.
