King Crab DLC for Fishing: Barents Sea delayed

November 7, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Take off your sou’wester and wellies as Astragon Entertainment announce they have postponed the release of the King Crab DLC for a few days.  Originally scheduled for release on the 7th November, the developers, Misc Games, feel extra time is needed to add in a few finishing touches and provide a perfect crab fishing experience.  The new release date has been set to 13th November.

In the King Crab DLC players will be able to experience two new ships, Selfy and Svalbard.  The Selfy is based on the vessels of Norwegian ship manufacturer Selfa Arctic AS and is a reliable all rounder that will provide a smooth transition from the vessels used in regular fishing.  This vessel utilises a 500hp engine that allows it to reach speeds of upto 30 knots. This vessel can be equipped either with line and nets or crab pots and a sorting table while her storage provides enough capacity for cod, shellfish, pollack and redfish.

Once players have learnt the basics with the Selfy they will be able to move up to the Svalbard.  This vessel is 55 meters in length (making it significantly longer than the Selfy) and comes equipped with a crane for casting out and hauling in larger crab pots.  Its 125 horsepower engine makes the Svalbard the ideal vessel for becoming a successful crab fisher.

The King Crab DLC will now be available on Steam on the 13th November for £8.99/ $11.99/ €9.99.
