Kingsman 3 could already be in development

December 13, 2017 by Matt Rodgers

Kingsman: The Golden Circle has earned over $400m worldwide since its September release, which is all the more impressive when you consider the budget was at the lower end of the blockbuster movie scale, and it wasn’t nearly as good as the first.

This means that 20th Century Fox have a brand that works on a global scale, so this report from Comic Book Movie should come as no surprise. While speaking at a Blu-ray launch of the Matthew Vaughn directed sequel, special effects supervisor Andrew Bickerton said “We’ve had the briefest of conversations with Matthew [Vaughn] about it…he’s got plans.”

How immediate these plans are remains to be seen, as Vaughn has recently signed on to the sci-fi actioner Courage, but as CBM points out, Vaughn spoke at length about the plans he has for the franchise, stating  “I think there’s a story in my head which will be finished by the end of the next one, and then after that then, of course, there could be Statesman movies, there could be spinoff character films. The universe could continue with new agents. Or, you know, Colin (Firth) could become Arthur or new characters could come in. Or new kids get trained. There’s so many options, but I also think it’s better not to be too greedy.”

Do you wish to see the further adventures of Eggsy and the Kingsman, or has The Golden Circle put you off the spy franchise?
