Earlier today, 20th Century Fox announced plans to develop a sequel for Kingsman: The Secret Service. The film was both a critical and commercial success nabbing a 74% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes while generating $400 million worldwide in box office revenue, so it’s no surprise that the studio is interested in developing a sequel.
It’s also worth noting that similarly to Kick-Ass 2 (which was met with a negative response from critics and moviegoers) Matthew Vaughn will not be directing the sequel. Instead he will be helming the reboot for Flash Gordon.
No other details on the sequel are known at the time. You can read my review of Kingsman: The Secret Service here.
