“Aaaaaaaand WE’RE OFF! Day one of filming on the next Benoit Blanc mystery. Thanks to all the lovely patient people here in Greece for letting us do all this murdering on their peaceful shores,” the caption reads.
Knives out 2 will star Daniel Craig, who is reprising his Knives Out role as Benoit Blanc as well as newcomers Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), Edward Norton (Motherless Brooklyn), Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures), Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Kate Hudson (Almost Famous), Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks), and Jesica Henwick (Iron Fist).
While plot and characters details are currently being kept under wraps, we do know that two sequels to 2019’s Knives Out are currently in development at Netflix following a $400 million deal with the streaming service. The sequel, which will once again be written and directed by Johnson, is currently without a release date.
