Kristen Stewart has become the first US actress to win the prestigious Cesar award in France for her supporting role in drama Clouds of Sils Maria.
The French equivalent of the Oscars were held over the weekend, and Stewart made history with her win, which also saw Sean Penn receive a lifetime achievement award.
Accepting the prize, Stewart shouted “I love you Juliette” in French to her co-star Juliette Binoche, who stars in the film with Stewart, as does Chloe Grace Moretz.
“The reasons why people make films here in France are very different from the reasons why people make movies in Hollywood and I prefer it here a little bit,” she told Variety.
Clouds of Sils Maria is released in limited US cinemas from April 10th, before its UK bow on May 15th.
