If you a fan of a) Stanley Kubrick and b) all things astronomical then you’ve possibly come across the conspiracy theory that Stanley Kubrick was rumoured to have faked the Apollo 11 moon landings for the US Government.
The conspiracy has spiraled so far out of control that the documentary Room 237 at one point brings up the theory that the late director actually gave clues to the gigantic cover up within The Shining.
And now we have Moonwalkers, a high-concept, action comedy based around this conspiracy theory and starring Ron Perlman and Rupert Grint, which is set to arrive on DVD on May 30th courtesy of Icon Film Distribution.

Directed by the ad world’s boy genius Antoine Bardou-Jacquet (holder of the Guinness World Record for “Most Awarded Commercial), Moonwalkers asks the question, ‘what if Apollo 11 never actually made it?’ What if, instead, the legendary Stanley Kubrick secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the US government? This is the premise of a perfectly plausible conspiracy theory that takes us to swinging sixties London, where a stubborn CIA agent (Ron Perlman – Hellboy, Pacific Rim) is forced to team up with the lousy manager of a seedy rock band (Rupert Grint – Harry Potter, Underdogs) to develop the biggest con of all time, in this riotous, high-tempo action-comedy penned by the newcomer Dean Craig (Death At A Funeral, A Few Less Men). One of the most famous conspiracy theories of them all is now one of the year’s most leftfield comedies – so revel in some sky high comedy as Moonwalkers arrives on DVD.
Moonwalkers is due to be released on DVD on May 30th priced £9.99.
