Leslie Jones to voice Plastic in DC adult animated comedy series

May 28, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Variety is reporting that SNL and Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones is set to lend her voice to the role of Plastic in an adult animated comedy series based upon the DC Comics superhero Plastic Man.

Warner Bros. Animation is producing Plastic while Jones will executive produce as well as voicing the title character. Further details are being kept under wraps, but it is understood that it is not related to the female-led Plastic Man movie that Warner Bros. and DC Films began developing back in 2020.

Plastic is yet to secure a network or streaming home, which may indicate that Warner Bros. is looking further afield than HBO Max, which is home to the hit DC adult animated comedy Harley Quinn and its recently announced spinoff Noonan’s.

Emmy-nominated former SNL cast member Jones was most recently seen in HBO’s comedy series Our Flag Means Death as the pirate captain Spanish Jackie, and also starred in last year’s Eddie Murphy comedy sequel Coming 2 America.
