Linda Hamilton is continuing making interview rounds to further promote her return as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate, last night finding herself on Jimmy Kimmel Live discussing her work on the sequel and reuniting with Arnold Schwarzenegger. More to the point, she revealed that she finally got a chance to see the latest installment of the franchise, unenthusiastically referring to it as just “okay”, eliciting some laughter from both Jimmy Kimmel and the live audience.
Linda’s candidness is to be appreciated, especially given that the critical reception has been divisive (a fact that the actress actually acknowledges). For what it’s worth, Terminator: Dark Fate does definitely fall into the mold of formulaic blockbuster filmmaking rather than an adrenaline-fueled, emotionally exhausting adventure like the best films in the franchise. Following some joking around regarding the statement, Linda Hamilton does retrace her steps slightly saying that it’s “great”, going on to playfully say that James Cameron won’t be phoning her to do another one. On that same subject, Linda Hamilton does say she would absolutely do another one if contacted and if there is something new to explore with the character of Sarah Connor.
Does Linda Hamilton actually think the movie is great or is she somewhat disappointed with Terminator: Dark Fate as her initial comment suggests? Let us know below in the comments what you think.
Terminator: Dark Fate is directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), with James Cameron producing, and sees Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) and Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) reprising their roles alongside new cast additions Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049), Natalia Reyes (Lady), Diego Boneta (Pretty Little Liars) and Gabriel Luna (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
