Fans looking forward to seeing the Power Rangers back on the big screen will have to wait a little longer, with Lionsgate and Saban Brands pushing the feature film reboot back six months from its original date of July 22nd 2016 to January 2017.
The reboot of the long-running TV series was originally being developed by Roberto Orci, who left to concentrate on Star Trek 3 (before departing that too), while last month saw reports that Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) was in advanced negotiations to direct the film, which has been written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class).
Power Rangers is now slated to hit cinemas on January 13th, 2017.
