It’s appropriate that author Stephen King has such a last name- he has been widely credited with both pioneering and expanding on the horror genre, significantly building on the contributions of such authors as Charles Brockden Brown and H.P. Lovecraft.
King’s name is so iconic in the field that many film studios have worked hard to get the bidding rights to his works: they are well aware that his name will sell. From this we have gotten such greats as The Shining, Misery, and It.
Yet, King is responsible for over 60 novels and 200 short stories. Many of these have actually been adapted into a feature length movies and TV miniseries. As such, the folks at Marvelous Videos have compiled a list of ten underrated movie adaptations of King’s that are worth your time.
