Luca Guadagnino entered 2024 in a massive way with Challengers, and he’s set to close the year with one of his most explosive films yet. Queer is already making a splash at film festivals and with critics, but we’ll soon find out what everyone else thinks of this audacious new project.
Ahead of its release, Queer just dropped a brand-new trailer and gave a glimpse at the madness awaiting all of us. Set in 1950s Mexico City, the film centers on William Lee (Daniel Craig), an American Expat who develops an interest in Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a former soldier who has just arrived in the city.

1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few contacts with other members of the small American community. His encounter with Eugene Allerton, an expat former soldier, new to the city, shows him, for the first time, that it might be finally possible to establish an intimate connection with somebody.
Queer arrives in cinemas on November 27th.
