Lucy Hale reteams with Truth or Dare director for Fantasy Island

November 17, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale has signed on to the cast of Sony and Blumhouse Productions’ Fantasy Island movie, which will reunite her with her Truth or Dare director Jeff Wadlow.

The film, based upon the classic TV series, will see Michael Pena (Ant-Man and the Wasp) taking on the Ricardo Montalban role of Mr. Roarke, the enigmatic overseer of a mysterious island where visitors can come and live out their fantasies – although they may not turn out as expected.

Hale is set to play Melanie, one of the island’s guests. She joins a cast that also includes Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) and Portia Doubleday (Mr. Robot). In addition to directing, Wadlow is also writing the script with his Truth or Dare co-writers Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs, while Jason Blum produces.
