Wonder Woman creator Dr. William Moulton Marston is set for a big screen biopic, with Variety reporting that Luke Evans, Bella Heathcote and Rebecca Hall have signed on to appear in Professor Marston and The Wonder Women.
The project is being written and directed by Angela Robinson, a producer on True Blood and How To Get Away With Murder, and will follow Harvard psychologist Martson, inventor of the lie detector and creator of Wonder Woman, who defends his feminist superhero against charges of “sexual perversity”. Evans will play Marston, with Hall as his wife Elizabeth Martson and Heathcote as their live-in lover Olive Byrne.
Production on Professor Marston and The Wonder Women is now underway, with the film set to arrive after next year’s Wonder Woman movie, which sees Gal Gadot reprising her role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
