Fresh from the casting of Rupert Grint, Dougray Scott and Ed Westwick, Deadline is reporting that Luke Pasqualino (The Musketeers) has secured the lead role in Crackle’s upcoming Snatch TV series, while Lucien Laviscount (Scream Queens) has also joined the small screen adaptation of Guy Ritchie’s 2000 film.
Pasqualino is set to play Albert Hill, “an aspirational young man [who] is smart, handsome, charming and a bit of a thinker as well as a doer. He strives to ensure that he doesn’t end up like his father, Vic (Dougray Scott). Loyalty, heart and passion are at his core.” Laviscount is portraying Billy ‘Fuckin’ Ayers, “a handsome, aggressive and stubborn boxer.”
Snatch “will carry the spirit” of the film and feature all new characters; inspired by a real life London heist, it “centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.”
