Blumhouse are putting together quite the cast for their remake of critically acclaimed Danish shocker Speak No Evil, because following the news that James McAvoy had signed on to star in the remake, it is now being reported that Mackenzie Davis is set to join the project.
According to Deadline the Halt and Catch Fire and Station Eleven actor has signed on to star alongside McAvoy in the James Watkins (Eden Lake) directed adaptation of the Danish hit.
Co-written and directed by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup, Speak No Evil tells the story of a Danish family who visit a Dutch family they met on a holiday, but what was supposed to be an idyllic weekend slowly starts unravelling as the Danes try to stay polite in the face of increasing unpleasantness. The last feature film for Mackenzie Davis was a holiday of a different kind, starring in Clea Duvall’s seasonal streaming smash Happiest Season opposite Kristen Stewart.
