Mad Max: Fury Road has passed $300 million at the global box office, with the fourth instalment of George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action franchise having pulled in $130.8 million domestically and $177 million from international markets for a global haul of $307.8 million and counting.
Miller has already revealed that he’s completed a screenplay for a fifth Mad Max movie – entitled Mad Max: The Wasteland – but a follow-up is far from a sure thing at this point, with Warner Bros. having spent over $200 million on the production and marketing of Fury Road. However, the film is going strong in the international markets, and is yet to open in China, which could help to push it beyond the $400 million mark.
