Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s Frankenstein movie is a go at Warner Bros, and the cast is shaping up to be quite the line-up.
Deadline reports the latest addition is Annette Bening, who joins the cast that includes Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Penélope Cruz, and Peter Sarsgaard. Little is known about the project, but Buckley is the star of the movie, which follows Frankenstein’s pursuit of love.
The logline reads: A lonely Frankenstein travels to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman, and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police, and a wild and radical social movement.
