The winners of the 37th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards were announced in Hollywood on Sunday, with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s feature directorial debut The Lost Daughter taking home the top honour, adding the Best Feature award to Gyllenhaal’s two wins for Best Director and Best Screenplay.
Other winners from the ceremony included Simon Rex (Red Rocket) and Taylour Paige (Zola) for Best Male Lead and Best Female Lead respectively and Troy Kotsur (CODA) and Ruth Negga (Passing) for Best Supporting Male and Best Supporting Female, while Reservation Dogs was named Best New Scripted Series and also won Best Ensemble Cast in a New Scripted Series.
